Today is a rainy day in Tijuana. I love rain and thunder storms although we do not have many thunder storms here. I especially like being under the covers with someone I really like while listening to the rain hit the roof and the windows. I don’t have that person in my life right now, but don’t feel sorry for me as I have lots of memories and those are forever. Also I cannot wrap my head around being with anyone age appropriate. Who is my perfect mate? I don’t know if she exists as I am sure I am not the most tolerant person on this planet. I like to play board games and usually back gammon or Chess, but that is not for everyone. I like to listen to Springsteen and even watch his videos on my big screen television.
My last concert was August 17, 2003 at Dodger Stadium and that was concert number 37. Number 38 should be in three weeks in Tulsa Oklahoma with a very good friend. I leave Monday morning from San Diego on February 20 and the show is on the 21st and I return the 22. I might be slow to answer e-mails, but I expect Jade will come to my office those days. By Wednesday evening I should be back in the office with that renewed faith that only a Springsteen show can give me. I believe the tour starts this week so I am sure I will be checking the internet to see what songs he will likely perform.
My 23 year-old son was here last week and will be back on the 9th for another 4 days leaving for his Tennessee home on the 13th. He and my 11 year old had some fun and I am so glad the older boy is excepting of his younger brother from a different Mother. If we have any luck at all his Mother and I will join his for a Springsteen show on the East coast later this year. Just another night of bad dancing and lip synching. I have too much respect for fans to sing which is a talent that never found a home with me.
Well the Super Bowl participants have been determined and we can all hope for a good game. If you don’t like football maybe you will like the commercials or the half time show as there seems to be more opportunities than just watching the game.
Work has been good. Gas prices are very high as is rent is out of control but my rent has not raised in the `15 years of living in this apartment. I was very inexpensive then so it is great for me. I think my landlord may not want to look for another renter as she (he husband was killed about 10 years ago) is content just to collect every month. Hell my rent is due on the 23rd and she has not contacted me about the rent. I think she lives close by and normally calls to see if I am home and then is here a few minutes later.
Work has been good even though prices are booming for everything else. We actually went back to our 1997 pricing in July of this year. Our team is very strong once again as our clients have some really good choices to choose from. I am not sure who is number 1 as they just take turns. My favorite is always the ones that answer quickly and of course are punctual.
I always planning on writing another entry in this blog. Maybe after the concert.
